Am I going mad or does this Paphiopedilum orchid look a bit like a cartoon character? It looks like it comes from Disney’s Flowers and Trees film..

Thank you so much! For the compliment & reassurance π

i expect it to start talking in a deep, bass voice! I think it would be very very bossy as well! it is a wonderful flower portrait.
January 25, 2013 at 5:22 PM
Thanks so much Janet! The leaves remind me of a big mustache π and yes, it does look a bit bossy! π

Well actually I think this is just spectacular! Gorgeous white bubble, surrounded by it’s knights of long green arms and lest we forget all the little solders-hairs protecting and shielding the lovely one. This photograph is awesome.

Thanks so much, dear Mary!! I’m glad I’m not the only one seeing a “person” in this orchid! π Btw- Just as you suspected, this was in my spam (together with “test” comment below). Both marked as non-spam, so hopefully this won’t happen again!

Thank you for letting me know. I figured as much when by chance I went back to make sure my comment posted, lo n’ behold – it never left the station.
Anyways Calee, thank you and your photograph really was awesome!

When someone asks if they are going mad, it is very tempting to reinforce the idea (my quirky humour). However, with a little imagination I can see it. So put off the madness for a little bit anyway:)

I thought I would get an analysis about what kind of madness drives you to see cartoons in flowers π but I’m glad you see it too π

I’ll reassure you too, no need to worry about your sanity! awesome flower portrait!

This beauty does look like a gregarious character alright! Wonderful picture, Calee!! Perhaps it can sing opera? It does not look like it would settle for anything less than the leading role…

Since I don’t have the foggiest idea of the cartoon that you write/speak of I’ll have to pass on whether the orchid looks like what’s its name. π
anyhoo, Calee this is a beauty- great color and composition. Great job as usual. But-but-but—— you never take a bad photo, or do you and I don’t know about it?
January 26, 2013 at 4:12 AM
Thanks so much, Yvonne!! And yes, I take plenty of bad photos! Even worse, sometimes I come home after a photo shoot and realize I’ve taken bad photos that all look the same.. :S
January 26, 2013 at 8:39 AM
Now-now. I think you stretch the truth a bit? π
