pearls-2

In October last year, I posted a picture (pearls) of water drops in grass and Imagery Photography suggested I’d use a smaller aperture to get a greater depth of field. Last night it snowed again, so this morning was perfect for a new attempt. I used aperture 32 and 1.3 seconds exposure time, and because it was a bit dark outside I also changed the light meter to +1 step. The picture is not perfect, but I have to say I like the result much better than last time.

trumpets

I found a clear sign of spring today! Hoop Petticoat daffodils with deep yellow trumpet-shaped flowers brightening up this grey day. Yay!

Not really a sign of spring, but at least the moss isn’t covered in snow anymore and we even got a couple of hours of sunshine today 🙂

double

More signs of spring- Yesterday afternoon I spotted some Double Snowdrops!  But later in the evening it started snowing again and hasn’t stopped yet… I hope the small flowers will survive..

highlands

Yesterday I came across a fold of Highland cattle in the forest. Aren’t they cute? They let me come close (I didn’t have any zoom lens with me) and posed very friendly.

cartoon

Am I going mad or does this Paphiopedilum orchid look a bit like a cartoon character? It looks like it comes from Disney’s Flowers and Trees film..
