Where’s our Winter? We got no snow, no ice, no frost, only uninspiring grey and rain.. Here’s a picture I took one year ago, when we had a proper Winter
Wishing you all HAPPY HOLIDAYS!! I’m off to Sweden, see you again in 2014!

In October last year, I posted a picture (pearls) of water drops in grass and Imagery Photography suggested I’d use a smaller aperture to get a greater depth of field. Last night it snowed again, so this morning was perfect for a new attempt. I used aperture 32 and 1.3 seconds exposure time, and because it was a bit dark outside I also changed the light meter to +1 step. The picture is not perfect, but I have to say I like the result much better than last time.
I found a clear sign of spring today! Hoop Petticoat daffodils with deep yellow trumpet-shaped flowers brightening up this grey day. Yay!

Not really a sign of spring, but at least the moss isn’t covered in snow anymore and we even got a couple of hours of sunshine today 🙂
More signs of spring- Yesterday afternoon I spotted some Double Snowdrops! But later in the evening it started snowing again and hasn’t stopped yet… I hope the small flowers will survive..
Snowdrops- The first sign of spring!
Open up and say… Ahh

Wishing you all a happy Valentine’s Day! Here’s me trying to lightpaint hearts for you
It’s the thought that counts
Yesterday I came across a fold of Highland cattle in the forest. Aren’t they cute? They let me come close (I didn’t have any zoom lens with me) and posed very friendly.
Am I going mad or does this Paphiopedilum orchid look a bit like a cartoon character? It looks like it comes from Disney’s Flowers and Trees film..

Two pictures of frost on a window- I couldn’t decide which image I liked more so I’m posting both and also adding my first poll (see below).
The first one is a closeup with automatic focus:
The second is a macro shot with manual focus:
Yesterday was a cold and bright day, nice to go for a walk and take pictures

I’m back in Amsterdam, home sweet home! I’ll post pictures from Morocco later, in the meantime here’s another one from Sweden.
One more post before I leave..
My cousin M’s horse Aladdin, a cute Icelandic horse who looks like a fairytale horse from one of old Nordic sagas.
My cousin A’s dog Stuffe, playing in the snow
I hope you all have had a good start in 2013! I’ve spent a week in Sweden, had a great time with family and friends. Tonight I’m off to Morocco, for a holiday in Marrakesh. See you again soon!
Wishing you all HAPPY HOLIDAYS!! I’m off to Sweden (where this picture was taken last winter), see you again in 2013!
