  2. Very nice shots. I can’t tell any difference yet in the quality of your pics. I reckon you are were able to get these shots from a distance.

    • Thanks Yvonne. Yes, all were taken from quite afar. The new camera has a longer zoom, so I wanted to test that. Only the magpie was close (~3 meters away).

  3. Very nice shots and clear images! ๐Ÿ™‚ Looks to be a very nice camera indeed!

    • Thanks Thomas! The pictures look sharp in a small format, but when you look closely they are not so sharp. I will have to work on my settings to get better results, but I’m quite happy with it anyway. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hmmm. Those are nice. I’ll be researching the Canon SX-60. Is it much different than the SX-50?

    • Thanks! I’ve only used it once (yesterday) so far, and I notice that the zoom is longer (65x) but since I don’t use a tripod I can’t zoom to max and still get sharp pictures. It seems the SX60 handle shadows better than the SX50, for example black birds in dark trees. Also, the screen is a bit bigger, it’s got 16.1 megapixels and wifi. And many filters and stuff I won’t use. ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Very nice images, Calee. It looks like a good camera. ๐Ÿ™‚
But then, it’s not all about the camera, is it? It seems that you always take great photographs whatever camera you are using!

      • Unfortunately it usually isn’t a pretty smooth journey.

        • I was naive to think it would be the same as SX50 (but better).. And stupid to go on vacation and only bringing the SX60! Pictures from the trip will follow, and some came out alright, but I cringe when I think of all the lost opportunities due to camera (photographer) issues..!
