Smile! The world is a beautiful place (^_^)

A Dunnock (Prunella modularis) visited my backyard today, I haven’t seen this one before so it was a nice surprise 🙂

Other common names of the Dunnock include the Hedge Accentor, Hedge Sparrow, or Hedge Warbler.

  2. I have a lot of Dunnocks in my garden. I mistook them for sparrows at first. That said, the sparrows seem to be making a comeback and the Dunnocks are not so visible. Strange. Lovely photo Camilla as always!

    • Thanks Adrian, you’re so kind! I’m not sure if I’ve seen a Dunnock before at all, and definitely not in my backyard. It’s a cute little bird! I hope he stays. 🙂

    • Thanks Edwin! The bird was far away but the the trees behind him were much further away, which gives that effect. 🙂

  6. I really like Dunnocks … It’s the little dotted ring around their eye that does it for me, another excellent shot of a wonderful bird Camilla 🙂
