  1. The colors and geometric patterns of the tulip fields are spectacular. What a treat to see them from the air. Were you hanging out the window of the aircraft?

    • It was great to see the fields and my house from above! Was a very small place, and the windows couldn’t be opened πŸ˜€ At least it didn’t rain and the windows were reasonably clean!

  8. Hi! these are great! The colours are superb – and what a way to see them.
And they remind me of our visit to Amsterdam a couple of Novembers ago. We stayed in a hotel near to that church (?) towards the bottom right of your Amsterdam shot.
We must come back. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

    • Thanks John! It’s the Koepelkerk, a domed 17th Century Lutheran church with a working organ and carved wooden pulpit, which serves as the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel’s conference center. The area behind it (Jordaan) is very nice. I definitely think you should come and visit! πŸ™‚ I can show you all the good places.

it’s weird to see to symetrical form in a field like that

    April 13, 2014 at 11:00 PM

    • Would it be less weird if they were planted asymmetrical? πŸ˜‰

      April 14, 2014 at 6:26 PM

      • Nelson

probably as weird but we do not see those colorful and rectangle fields here in North America, usually it’s green or a pale yellow

  22. Some wonderful colourful fields there! πŸ™‚ Tulip fields? I love those windmills, so pretty!! ❀ We have a lot of windmills near where I live in the country areas of Norfolk (UK) some are pretty, but some have gone to ruin. But strangely, even when they are decaying, they still manage to look attractive! πŸ™‚

    April 17, 2014 at 12:50 AM

    • Thanks Suzy! Yes, we have lots of blooming tulip fields here now. πŸ™‚ I agree about the windmills, the old ones in ruin are still attractive!
