Calee, your Alaska shots are out of this world. It looks like you got lucky with the weather, and made the most of the opportunity! The timing of your trip was excellent too – the subtle variations in landscape color and texture are really appealing. A friend has been to Alaska many times and I get very jealous when she returns with her Alaska stories and photos!

Thanks so much, Nick! Timing turned out to be perfect; the week before it was still green and next week it will be brown, fall season is very short in Alaska. It’s far to travel, but I’m so glad I did! Can definitely recommend it. ๐

Wonderful shots of a gorgeous land. I think of snow and mountains when I think of Alaska, but you have managed to portray it in a totally different light. The colors in your images are stunning.

Thanks Mike! Last time I was in Alaska (June -09) everything was green. The autumn colours now were amazing, it almost looked unreal!
