White can be so difficult to photograph, but you have done it so beautifully here, Calee.
July 31, 2013 at 3:52 PM
Thanks so much, Lisa! White is the most difficult color (or non-color), but I’m learning as I go along π

Nicely done – and ‘white’ such a tricky colour to capture! π
July 31, 2013 at 6:16 PM
Thanks so much, John! I also find white tricky, but I didn’t want to skip it in my Spanish colour series. π

Beautiful photos Calee! White can be so hard to do right with the camera and you have caught every subtle shade with yours. Lovely, lovely shots. π

I’m a fan of the one on the lower left.

Is my favourite out of the four as well, I was chasing a damselfly who landed on it but took off again before I could catch it on camera. π

This series continues to delight me. The shots are gorgeous and you have chosen a cool way to present them. I especially like the shot of the water lily in the lower left.
August 1, 2013 at 10:03 AM
Thanks so much, Mike! The water lily was one of my “accidental” shots, I was actually trying to photograph a damselfly who was sitting on it, but it took off so fast (I didn’t even see it disappear) so I ended up with only the water lily.. π

You are an artist!!! Beautiful….
“White is not a mere absence of color; it is a shining and affirmative thing, as fierce as red, as definite as black. God paints in many colors; but He never paints so gorgeously, I had almost said so gaudily, as when He paints in white.” Chesterton, Gilbert K.
