Smile! The world is a beautiful place (^_^)

I haven’t yet found the #1 on my “duck wish list” (yes, I have such a list), but supposedly there are a few Mandarin ducks in The Netherlands so hopefully I’ll be able to post some pictures of those some time in the future… In the meantime, here are some other floating birds in Amsterdam.

  4. If a mandarin has turned up here in Norway I’m pretty sure they can survive somewhere in the Netherlands. Good Luck finding them. 😀

    • Thanks so much, Wendy! It always puts a smile on my face when I see them “diving” like that 😀

  7. Very nice. My favorite is the one with the brown eye patch and reflection. Waterfowl can be a lot fun – keep shooting and good luck!

  8. I understand the “duck list.” I still hope to see a wood duck someday. Your A,stream ducks are so different from our usual Mallard pond ducks here in the states. They have beautiful coloration.

    • Thanks Janet! Mallards are the most common ducks over here as well (they are the ones “diving” in the last frame), I was happy to find some more unusual species that day. 🙂
