It was misty and grey today, but I still had a very nice walk in the forest, enjoying the crisp, cold air.

You have been taking some really good photos, However, these 3 photos are excellent and I think they are 5 star good or however these could be rated. What is the dark thing laying/ lying in the leaves- in the last photo (coat or a dog?)
November 17, 2012 at 5:07 PM
Wow, thanks so much Yvonne!! 😀 Very kind! The dark stuff is mud! It looked like some animal had started digging there.

I really like the middle one – especially the (almost) monochrome trunks

Thanks for the Like! 🙂 I appreciate it.

These are truly glorious shots you’ve taken! We’re having similar weather, and yesterday I took a picture of our wooden wheel barrel, too! Mine needed editing – which I never do.

Love the tree in the 3rd photo – it’s got a great shape for photos! Great combination of fall foliage with the mist.

Thanks so much, Kevin! Yes, a photogenic tree 🙂 There are some trees, stones, flowers, mushrooms just begging to be photographed.

That fog adds so much atmosphere. It does look cold. After all our unusual heat, cold is good!!
November 18, 2012 at 12:36 AM
I agree, fog and mist adds atmosphere. 🙂 We’ve had an unusually cold and rainy year over here, but I don’t mind at all. Much better than too much sun and heat!
November 18, 2012 at 8:18 AM
I agree on the heat. We had too many days with heat index over 105.

Nice shots Calee…..you can feel the cold and damp in those shots.
November 19, 2012 at 5:32 PM
Thanks so much, Mark! Indeed, it was cold and damp. Maybe I could’ve (should’ve?) added some warmth to the pictures, but I decided to show them like it really looked.
November 19, 2012 at 5:51 PM

Beautiful and evocative, as though some ancient story is playing out in the mists.
December 1, 2012 at 3:15 AM
Thanks Janet, mist and fog always add a special and a bit “mystical” atmosphere in the forest..

Love the picture of the leaves on the ground.. it is spectacular. I do love the colours of autumn, the oranges and the rich reds. There is even beauty in how the leaves have fallen from their branches.

Thanks so much, Bren! There’s beauty everywhere in nature 🙂

Thanks for visiting and the likes. The wheelbarrow in the field and the canopy of trees protecting the roadway are really special. Look forward to your winter scenes.

Thanks David! We haven’t had much snow here in Amsterdam, but I’m going to Sweden next week so I hope I’ll get some nice winter shots. 🙂
