    • Thanks so much! I shot a video of the parakeets today but couldn’t upload on WordPress (unless pay $99). So, pictures only for now!

  4. Wow! You sure have beautiful and cooperative birds in your country! I am enjoying the rainbow of plumage, this week, on your blog…

    • Thanks Wendy! I actually didn’t think he was very cooperative, hiding among the green leaves. 😉 I wanted him to move to the red/orange/yellow, which would’ve been a nice contrast.. I also shot a short video where he’s “talking to the camera” but unfortunately I couldn’t upload it on WordPress (unless pay $99).

  6. Cool photo – I’m very jealous that they are in your backyard!

    • Thanks! Yes, easy access to watch them from my balcony 🙂 But actually I haven’t seen them up close until I bought my PowerShot a few weeks ago. They’re really nice when you zoom in!

  7. I can’t imagine having parakeets in the wild. Like the “leaf impressions” of his back feathers.

    • Yes, he really blends in well in the green trees! They look a lot more “lost” when they sit on naked trees in the snowy winters.

  8. Green on green. Such a pretty bird. Very nice photo. That Power Shot just keeps on performing so well.

    • Thanks Yvonne! It sure is a pretty bird, and with the PowerShot, I’m able to take a much closer look than I could before (I use it as binoculars). They really are beautiful.

  10. What a wonderful cover up. I had to pay attention to notice the bird among the leaves. Wonderful color.

    • I couldn’t even see the bird without the camera, I just heard him and zoomed in on the tree where the sound was coming from. Even close up, I think he’s well disguised!
