I spent the weekend on the Dutch island Texel, and met some cute and friendly seals at Ecomare.

These are beautiful. It can be challenging to take good photos of animals in the water. Well done.

Cute…..Seals are great….so clumsy looking out of the water, but so graceful and agile in the water…:0)

They are cute! And have surprisingly soft fur, I thought they would be a bit … slimy
but they were really soft and smooth. But have to say, they’re not nearly as cute as your price winning otter

Thanks Susan! He posed willingly, I think he wanted some company and attention because all other people were watching a show with Harbour porpoises..

I shaved off our dog as his hair was too long and now he looks like a seal with floppy ears!

Thanks Janet! I love watching them swim, the look on their faces show that they really enjoy cruising through the water like that

The first one really looks like he’s feeling a little lonely; he definitely wants your attention. They don’t seem to be shy at all, great.
February 15, 2013 at 9:18 PM
He was lonely! All other seals had company, this one had a tank all to himself.. Not shy at all, was really nice to get so close to them.
