Hope you don’t mind a camera question–I noted that you use the Canon PS SX50 with the huge zoom. It obviously takes great pictures but if you wouldn’t mind letting me know what you think of it, I certainly would appreciate it. Especially in low light and black and white.
Thanks and I always look forward to receiving your posts. David
Hi David, thanks for the ‘likes’! Unfortunately I haven’t had a chance to use my PS much, only for some occasional bird pictures and landscapes. I haven’t tried it in low light or b&w, but there’s a good photographer who have used it more, please check out: http://ajh57.wordpress.com/
Yes I do! When I first moved in there were only a few of them but lately there are many more. The other day there were about 10 screaming parakeets in the tree closest to my bedroom. They look nice, but are very noisy!
delicious

Such an interesting picture. The birds match/blend/cordinate perfectly with the trees. Very nice shot.

Thanks so much, Yvonne! I was very grateful for the kind cooperation from these birds and the weather gods..

We have a few feral populations of these birds in the UK, there is a big flock in Richmond Park

Beautiful and I am envious of your access to such exotic subjects.

Thanks Alison!
But not more exotic than bald eagles!

Lovely, the way the leaves camouflage them; I always prefer analogue colours.

Thanks Patricia! Sometimes I don’t see them, but I definitely hear them “talking” from somewhere in the tree..
